I was born in Geneva (Switzerland) in 1962 and have been a journalist for over 25 years. I am still working as a anchor for RTL Television in The Netherlands. (watch the live stream on Friday's at www.rtlz.nl). As a journalist I learned to be creative in finding the right information. But more important I have learned how to make money from it.
In 2005 fellow Dutchman Eric Hommelberg and I started "The Gold Discovery Letter", where I was responsible for all discovery research. Early 2007 I decided to start the "Middelkoop Discovery Alert" service. My columns about investing are published in the monthly publication "Effect", which is published by the Dutch Investors Association (VEB).
I live at the beach, just outside Amsterdam (The Netherlands) together with Brechtje and our two sons Moos and Misha (4 and 7). In August 2007 my first book "Als de dollar valt (When the dollar falls)" was published by publisher Nieuw Amsterdam. Almost 20.000 copies were sold in the half year. A second bestseller De permanente oliecrisis (The permanent oilcrisis) was published in the summer of 2008.
